Why Local Business Should Use Online Marketing

Everyone seems to be finally figuring out that if you own or operate a business, you need to have an online presence. And I don't mean just throwing up a website for the sake of having a website.

I mean having a website that is engaging, personal, and unique...and driving lots of targeted traffic to it. And I'm talking about smaller, local businesses too!

Local businesses seem to think they are immune to the same rules as others, but nothing could be further from the truth. Check out these stats:
  • there are over 1 Billion local searches performed online every month
  • some stats say up to 80% of people will search online before using or visiting a business

So...if your business isn't showing up at or near the top of search results for keywords related to your business, guess what? Some one elses' is!

There is an absolute mountain of business to be had by doing some simple online marketing for your business on a local level. You know it's the way things are going...the only question is, are you going to be there when your potential customers come looking?

If you know you need to be marketing yourself online, but don't know how to get started, feel free to give us a call. we can get you set up so all those people searching for what you sell find you instead of one if your competitors. Go Primitive to Ease Your Mind of Money Troubles

The economy...well, it is whatever it is. I suppose it is the opinion of whomever you are listening to on any given day. Some say good. Some say bad. Some say on the mend.

Either way, if you're in business, especially a small business, money troubles are sure to creep up every once in awhile. I know, for some of you that 'once in a while' seems more like a daily thing. And I know the stress that can come right along with it. I have certainly felt it myself.

I had a thought while I was riding my bike the other day that might offer you some help when it comes to the stress of money troubles. First off...any financial problems you have are going to be there whether you stress over them or not, so it really isn't necessary to let it bother you. That being said, I know you're going to anyway because most of us do, so here is a way to help take the edge off a little.

As I was peddling away, my legs burning like they were on fire, I noticed how all other thoughts just seemed to melt away. No stress, no worry, just an all out battle for survival. It was as if some primitive gene was triggered as the intensity of the exercise increased.

This all got me to thinking about the silly concerns we seem to have in our contemporary society. Not being eaten by an animal has been replaced by 'how will I pay my water bill?' It isn't natural. That's not to say it would be preferable to be chased by animals, but purposely triggering that feeling once in a while seems to help a lot.

When you do really intense exercise such as weight training or interval training, your mind doesn't have time to wander and worry. Your body's main concern is getting enough oxygen to keep it going. And the endorphin after effect is nice too.

Just remember, stress is called the silent killer for a reason. If you can't seem to take your mind off your troubles, don't give yourself the choice. Push your body a little and see what happens. If you aren't sure what to do, there's a pretty good system for that type of thing here.

Once you're able to clear your mind of stress, you'll probably notice more business ideas popping up too...and that's never a bad thing!

We'd Like To Welcome A Couple New Additions...

We at Balance Advertising Solutions would like to welcome a couple of new additions to the Balance family.

On the business front, we'd like to welcome our new sales rep, Jennifer Zigizmund. Jenn is actually our first real sales rep aside from Ken and I. So, we are really excited to have her on board. We know you're going to do great!

And, on the home front...we would like to welcome little Amelia Rose to the family. Amelia was born on May 24th and although she made me work through an 18 hour labour, we couldn't be happier with her arrival.

Good luck Jennifer! Welcome to the world Amelia!
